"Communication Through Social Media"
Do online social networking sites isolate people and truncate their relationships? Or rather bring people closer to their love ones? Are you also hooked in social networking sites? Do you ever think of how strongly can social media influence and control people’s lives? If you want some knowledge and trivia's about it, then you must also read this. Social media has been broadly defined to refer the widely accessible electronic tool that spreads news, information, built relationships, and gives one source to many receivers. Although Social networking sites have so many benefits, it also has negative effects on people. We want to inform people what’s behind and communication through social media, and also how it affects people’s lives.
Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube are some of the most popular websites not only here in the Philippines, but also all over the world. In fact, as of September 2014 there are 71% of online adults who use their time on using Facebook, while 23% use Twitter, 20% use Instagram, and both Pinterest and Linked In has been used 28% respectively. And now as of 2015, how does the social web look like? There are now 7.2 billion people on the planet and of those the following numbers, make interesting reading. There are just over 3 billion active Internet users (45% of the world’s internet users). Nearly 2.1 billion people have social media accounts, and 3.65 billion mobile users have access to the internet via smartphones and tablets, and close to 1.7 billion people have active social media accounts.
As we’ve said above, social networking sites have so many benefits like Facebook, that allows registered users to create profiles, upload photos and videos, send messages, and keep in touch with friends, family and colleagues. The site, which is available in 37 different languages, includes public features such as groups, pages, events, market place, and presence technology. Facebook is a popular free social networking website. In fact there are nearly 1.4 billion Facebook users, 47% of all Internet users are on Facebook, 4.5 billion likes are generated daily and Facebook is now over 11 years old and heading towards platform puberty and is still the standout leader of the pack. The Twitter; that allows registered members to broadcast short posts called tweets. This site can also help anyone because in Twitter, you can express your anger, your happiness and your feelings. And by using Twitter, you can see the latest trend which is happening around the globe because it is a free social networking micro blogging service. Twitter has 284 million active users at last count and it has 500 million tweets per day. The video sharing website is called YouTube. It is where you can view and also upload videos. You can watch educational videos, international and local news, instructions for cooking, comedy videos, trends and other entertaining movies. YouTube is now one of the most popular sites on the web, with visitors watching around 6 billion hours of video every month.
In our modern generation, we are now allowed to see stuffs and latest happenings about our idols and friends by following them in sites such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube, and many more. Not only the local celebrities you are allowed to follow, but also Hollywood actor/actress. Nowadays, the TV Networks focus their attention through social media. Sometimes they give more opportunities to those people who make viral videos rather than their own talents. For example, Maine Mendoza, also known as Yaya Dub, is now considered as the fastest growing celebrity profiles. She is known by creating a viral video using the application called Dubsmash. On June 19, 2015, Eat Bulaga invited the popular dubsmasher to audition for their new concept and luckily, Maine got hired. After a couple of months, the tandem of her and Alden Richards (AlDub) is now called as a phenomenal love team. There are so many positive effects of social websites and social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Messenger, blogs, and other websites are really helpful. It makes you feel connected to a larger community, but such easy, casual connection in an electronic environment can also have its downside.
One of the possible effects that people do is sense of connection. Social media sites can make it more difficult for us to distinguish between the meaningful relationships we foster or adopt in the real world. People might focus and spend a lot of time and energy connecting to other people on social media. But the most important connections or real meaning of connection is lessening because of the negative effects of social media in socializing people. One of the negative effects of social media is “Cyber bullying”. Simple jokes and funny words that might insult and hurt other people feelings can be called as bullying. Cyber bullying is the use of digital technologies with intent to offend, humiliate, threaten, harass or abuse somebody. It may also leave deep emotional and mental scars in their lives. Cyber bullying spread among kids, youth and even adult, with 42% reporting that they have been victims, according to a 2010 CBS news report and it continues to increase the victims of the Cyber bullying. The other type of the negative effects is distraction. It affects the youth students and working people more. Students are attempting to multi-task. They are trying to check various social media sites while they study. Continuous access to social media sites means that it’s difficult to switch yourself off from some form of social networking, and their ability to concentrate on their task at hand gets significantly reduced due to the distraction that also leads to decreased academic performance.
Social networking sites clearly portray both positive and negative effects on people and on the youth. It is the decision of an individual to make whether to continue using the sites or not because there is no general law or general rule book of the do’s and don’ts of how to use the computers nor the social websites. We believe that the benefits of social media are helpful to the world as we communicate. As with anything, there will be disadvantages and it will be used to do things that were not originally intended. We want to aim a better understanding for everyone and we want others to get over this unhealthy addiction. We must know the limits and danger and practice the healthy way of using social websites. As social media users, we must know the impact of every action we’ll do.
"Goals"
Dream of success! Whenever I hear those words, I always think deeply. For me, you cannot achieve success without pain, determination, sweat, and hard work. When I was the one who experienced hardships and challenges, I understood how hard it is to reach your dreams and achieve success.
Back when I was in high school, yes, I was starting to feel and experience stress, tiredness, and lack of sleep. But now, in college? It wasn’t just like before. On my first day in St. Dominic College of Asia I was alone. I don't know where to go and what to do. Fortunately, one girl ask me and she said "Hi! Are you alone? Because I'm alone too. Can I go with you?" Of course I don't hesitate to say "Yes" and I grabbed the chance to come with her so I can wander the school with a buddy. I was shocked and surprised when she said that we're in the same program and courses! It's destiny! Thanks God! The next day, the class continued, everyone is talking to one another and as well as I am, who's talking to my classmate and grabbed the chance to know them better. After a couple of weeks, I'm started to feel pressure and cramming. The homeworks, projects, and quizzes are given simultaneously. I also start to do my assignments very late and sometimes I feel dizzy because I'm lack of sleep. Then after that, exams! I feel so nervous because I know, the exams in college is not that easy like my exams in high school before. But now, I got used to it. I know the stage of being a college student is difficult however, it's fun! Every second counts and also it was just the beginning and there's a lot of challenges in life I need to face and experience in the near future right? I need to explore, work hard, and discover new things to successfully reach my goals.
"The Imagination and Heart Sees What's Invisible to the Eye"
I want you to share to you my experience at Panganiban Plaza and Park, because I want you to open not just your imagination but also your heart. In that place, you are able to feel the purity of white clouds like cotton that is so soft. The calmness of the sky is like a circle that surrounds you. The cool breeze that is brought to you by the freshness of air. As you walk into that place, you'll feel that you are so welcomed. You hear all the birds "tweet" and land in your hands and kisses you like he misses you.
Even if you didn't see anything because your eyes are impaired, you should appreciate the life that God has given you. Live your world and feel the wonder of nature by your heart and your imaginations because sometimes the imagination and heart sees what's invisible to the eye.

Rodrigo Duterte For President!
According to Numbeo.com, there are top 4 safest city worldwide (out of 349 countries) and these are:
First is Abu Dhabi, UAE, Second is Lugano, Switzerland, Third is Marbella, Spain, and fourth is Davao City, Philippines. The mayor who disciplined that city was Rodrigo Duterte. Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte has finally made the long awaited jump in the Presidential Sweepstakes. So what do you think are the reasons to vote for Rodrido Duterte as the next President? Because for me, he deserve all of your votes and he is the best presidential candidate to vote for.
There are 7 reasons why vote Rodrigo Duterte as president. First of all, he can't be just like President Aquino. He contradicts himself when he strongly opposes Grace Llamanzares for being a senator and presidential candidate because of constitutionality issues while he himself knowingly violates Article III of the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. He is a hesitant leader who is only being forced to run for the presidency by people around him. He has excellent spinmeisters around him as exemplified by how quickly they spinned the DOS (Davao Death Squad). He demonstrated "kamong taga Manila, mas bright pa ko sa inyo" line spoken. Next, he is the man of action and will willingly trample the human rights of law violators and the accused. His entire family seems to love action. If you want to see lower public officials getting punched in public, tourists who refuse to abide by anti-smoking ordinances made to swallow cigarettes butts. Duterte's camp appears to have mastered the art of creating highly convincing propaganda. If you want to continue hearing the rumors of vigilantism in action, you know who to vote for president in 2016. Then, he is an every-man who keeps a simple lifestyle and unlike Binays and other politicians who obviously gained wealth and joined the higher ranks of society. Duterte has maintained his simple lifestyle. Also, he's a lawyer and not a popular showbiz person. After that, he strictly implements discipline which may impair your absolute freedom. In this country which is the Philippines, there are so many reported cases about crimes. If you like getting drunk by drinking alcoholic beverages till dawn and drive your car like a racing star then Duterte is not your president. Duterte banned the selling and consumption of liquors from 1 am to 8 am in Davao. He also signed an executive order to limit all kinds of motor vehicles in the city to maintain public safety and order. Furthermore, he's willing to abolish the congress. Duterte has promised to end corruption by abolishing congress and replacing it with a parliamentary federal form of government if he will be elected as president. He also vowed to increase the salaries of government employees and prioritize the BIR and other government collection agencies to improve their functions and services. Lastly, Duterte and all people wants more secure and peaceful country. Davao City is 4th Safest City worldwide out of 349 entries. So if you're planning to commit a crime or if you're dreaming to be a drug lord of course don't ever think of making Duterte as your president or else you will be in big trouble.
I will vote for a candidate who can run the Philippines not only good but better. I believe that the best presidential candidate who can build our nation excellent is Rodrigo Duterte.
